Diana Figueroa Prado is Representative and Researcher for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre since August 2019. She leads the work in that region focusing on the support to civil society and communities who defend the rights to land and the environment, and collaborates in public policy processes like the National Action Plans on Business & Human Rights. Previously, she was Advocacy Coordinator at Tlachinollan Human Rights Centre in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, where she worked accompanying the indigenous population and their demands on the right to territory, women's rights and access to justice for serious human rights violations. She was also a researcher on victims' rights in the organization Renace, in Monterrey, and has collaborated in the Mobilization and Impact team of Amnesty International Mexico. She holds a degree in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Master's degree in Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from the University of Essex, England.
